Inspectors and field staff of the government are, on the other hand, eligible to get 10 percent of their basic monthly salary as additional allowance, Qatar News Agency reported yesterday.
The memorandum was issued further to a Cabinet Decision which earlier announced these additional perks, and aimed at implementing the decision with immediate effect.
Government employees in senior positions include ministers, undersecretaries, assistant under-secretaries, directors and equivalent officials.
Assistant directors, divisional heads and employees of equal ranks are entitled to allowances up to 25 percent of their basic salary.
However, court writers and public prosecutors are eligible to receive up to 30 percent of their basic salary as additional perks, while assistant engineers and experienced technical staff would get allowances of up to 25 percent of their basic salary.
