He added that it is the first country to set up a foundation to combat this phenomenon, that provides further care of the victims through shelters and lawyers to get their rights.
It also ensures their return back to their home countries and give them tickets, gifts, and many other advantages.
Al Raya newspaper quoted Dr. Hiyali that: “Human trafficking is a global, devastating and trans-national phenomenon”, pointing out that the profit came in second place after profit arms trafficking.
He also noted that Qatari labor law addresses human trafficking and forced labor through labor courts, and that Qatar was the first in the Gulf area to prepare a strategy of national control in 2003. It was approved by the Council of Ministers.

Among its recommendations is the establishment of Qatar Foundation for Combat Human Trafficking and the National shelter, in addition to seven other institutions.
